🏔️ Self-Owned Heritage Garden

A 30 mu centennial tea garden in the core Zheng Yan area of Tianxin Village, Wuyi Mountain, at 600–800 m above sea level. Rougui and Shuixian old bushes aged 50–120 years with deep root systems and rich mineral content deliver a distinctive rock charm.

🤝 Partner Estates

5,000 mu of partner estates covering the core production areas of Wuyi Mountain, Tongmu Pass, Jian'ou, Anxi and Chaozhou. Long-term cooperation with 200+ tea farmers under unified cultivation standards ensures consistent raw material quality.

📜 Heritage

The Mulan tea gardens date back to 1994, with 30 years of deep cultivation in the Wuyi Mountain region. Some trees in the old garden were planted in the late Qing Dynasty — a living testament to the "Zheng Yan" quality of Wuyi Rock Tea passed down over a century.

Supply Chain FAQ

Where does Mulan's tea raw material come from?

The core raw material comes from the 30 mu self-owned centennial tea garden in the core Zheng Yan area of Tianxin Village, Wuyi Mountain. We also maintain long-term partnerships with 200+ tea farmers across core production areas including Wuyi Mountain, Tongmu Pass, Jian'ou, Anxi and Chaozhou, with a total partner estate area of 5,000 mu. Origin certificates and traceability information are available for all raw materials.

How do you ensure consistent quality across batches?

Through our "Three Fixed" system: ① fixed production areas (self-owned gardens + long-term partner estates); ② fixed craftsmanship (standardized process parameters set by intangible cultural heritage inheritors); ③ fixed blending (unified blending ratios by the chief tea master). A standard sample is retained from each batch and compared with the previous batch in cupping; any deviation above 5% triggers an adjustment.

Do you provide pesticide residue test reports? What standards are used?

Every batch is tested for pesticide residues, covering the 65 indicators required by the national standard GB 2763-2024. Tests are performed by third-party laboratories with CMA/CNAS accreditation. All reports can be viewed and downloaded in the blockchain traceability system. Upon request, we can also arrange testing to the EU's 274-indicator standard or Japan's Positive List system.

Can your capacity keep up with large orders?

The factory produces 500–800 kg of dried tea per day (up to 1 ton during the spring peak), with an annual processing capacity of 80–120 tons. Current capacity utilization is around 65%, leaving ample headroom. Orders under 50 kg are delivered in 3–5 days, and bulk orders over 500 kg in 15–25 days. We recommend booking at least 30 days in advance to secure production slots.

What are the storage conditions? Will the tea spoil?

We operate a 2,000 sq.m professional tea warehouse: an ambient section with intelligent temperature and humidity control (15–25°C / 45–65% RH) and a 500 sq.m cold room (0–5°C) for green and white tea. All products are double-sealed in aluminum foil bags and corrugated cartons, managed on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis. Monthly stock inspections ensure storage quality.

What exactly can be traced via the blockchain?

Each batch's traceability code covers: ① garden location (GPS coordinates / elevation / production area); ② plucking information (date / weather / standard); ③ processing parameters (process flow / roasting intensity / baking duration); ④ quality reports (pesticide residues / heavy metals / sensory scores); ⑤ logistics trail (dispatch → transit → delivery, full chain). All data is stored on the blockchain and cannot be tampered with.

Can we visit the tea gardens / factory in person?

Visits are welcome! Our tea gardens and processing factory inside the Wuyi Mountain scenic area are open to visitors year-round (booking required 3 days in advance). The itinerary includes garden tours, tea-making demonstrations, tea tasting and cooperation talks. Free pickup service is available (Wuyi Mountain North Station / airport), and 1–2 day in-depth visits can be arranged.
